FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About Women’s Sober Living in Pennsylvania

Choosing a sober home comes with questions. Here are a few we hear most often, but if you need more answers, we are just a call away.

What is a women’s sober living home?

A women’s sober living home is a structured, substance-free living environment designed to support women as they continue their recovery journey. Unlike inpatient treatment, sober living allows residents to begin rebuilding independence while still having accountability, peer support, and recovery-focused structure.

At Sunlight’s Sister, our women’s sober living home in Pennsylvania provides a safe and supportive space where residents can develop healthy routines, strengthen recovery skills, and work toward long-term stability.

Women in early recovery from substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health stable enough to live in community desiring structure, accountability who are seeking to give and receive support during their journey to sustained long-term sobriety.

Our residents stay as long as they feel is necessary to take the next step – there’s no time limit on residency.

Research shows that women who participate in treatment in addition to structured sober living have the best outcomes. Sunlights Sister partners with local treatment centers to ensure residents have access to care. Our home is a family environment, not a treatment center and we do not provide treatment or clinical services.

The weekly fee includes furnished space in a shared room, 5 meals/week, cleaning supplies, drug testing, utilities and recovery support.
